The Process

Because we custom measure each opening, place the order and wait for the entire order to arrive, we don’t schedule your installation until we have everything we need. You can help by removing window treatments and any wall hangings around the windows prior to our scheduled arrival date. In the case of extreme weather we may need to change our installation date but that is rare.
Once we arrive at your home, we may take one of two approaches depending on the scope of the job. Either we remove all the trim around the windows we are replacing or work window by window. Once we get to the point of replacing the actual windows, our installers remove one window at a time (or two if they are adjoining) and replaces them before removing any additional windows. Each window is only left open for a few minutes at a time. So if it’s summer, your home isn’t open to pests, heat, or a pop up thunderstorm and if it’s winter, you don’t need to worry about heating the outside.
Exceptions
There are exceptions to normal installation practices. Sometimes we find water damage or termites in window frames. When that is the case, we’ll talk to you about what can be done and either put the old window back in until the other damage can be repaired or simply repair it.
