One of the biggest factors in replacing your roof rather than repairing it is the condition of the shingles on the roof as a whole. If the shingles have deteriorated or can’t properly protect your home, a replacement is a better option for your aging roof. However, you may also want to consider the roof repair cost vs the overall condition. If you are facing a significant repair and your roof is nearing the end of its life, you may decide it’s not financially the best option to invest in a repair. It may be better to invest that money in a new roof.
