Homeowners ask us this question regularly and our answer is always the same; we don’t sell any brand shingle that we can’t stand behind. That means the right shingle for you may be different than the right shingle for another homeowner. Depending upon the style of your home, your budget, and the color shingle you’re looking for, any one of the manufactures we sell may have the right shingle for you. In this two-part blog we’re going to share with you some of the benefits of the different brands that we represent.
GAF Certified Roofing Contractor
As a GAF certified roofing contractor, we install a lot of GAF roofs. We especially like to recommend the Timberline HD® Lifetime High Definition® Shingles. There are many reasons homeowners should consider these shingles if they are looking for an architectural shingle. First, they come with a lifetime limited warranty at a fair price point. Second, the colors available and the styling of the shingles make any home look like it has a real wood-shake roof adding to curb appeal.
Your homeowners insurance may be reduced as these are Class A fire rated from UL which can help protect your roof from catching fire. Another great protective measure added to these shingles is the StainGuard® protection. This protection helps prevent algae from growing on your roof that results in those unsightly stains. The last benefit you’ll receive from these shingles is the wind resistance provided by their DuraGrip™ Adhesive seals. This prevents winds up to 130mph from blowing off your shingles.
GAF offers several other lines of shingles that may be right for your home. Their Designer shingles are made to look like wood shake and slate at a fraction of the cost of the actual products. If you want a shingle that can help you save on cooling costs, consider the Timberline® Cool Series. They will save you money over time and offer the same benefits as the rest of the Timberline series. If hail damage is something you’d like to prevent, consider the impact resistant shingles from GAF. There are multiple colors and style available.
